During the pandemic when theatres were dark, Transport Group commissioned a series of weekly essays in a project titled “While We’re Home” written by alumni artists, with an open ended invitation to write about whatever they chose. The result was a collection of sometimes funny, often heart-rending, always vulnerable expressions of what it means to be a theatre artist and all the highs and lows that come with it. From April 2020 - April 2022, TG published 100 essays. 12 of those essays were developed into a year-long, monthly video series, which you can find below.
Marin Ireland - "The Part for Me for Part of Me"
Mary Testa - "A Spotlight for the Soul"
Mia Katigbak - "Perpendicular Ideas"
Sean Koa Seu - "Trying to Rewrite History"
Karmen Paley - "Trusting the Unknown"
John Cariani - "Inge and the Search for Opportunity"
David Greenspan - "Stepping Into the Impossible"
